Simplify Your Work Life with the Right Office Space

Simplify Your Work Life with the Right Office Space

If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life, or so goes the old adage. Well, we’d add that if you love what you do and where you do it, every day might start to feel like a vacation.

Spending your days in a dark, outdated office space in a lousy location that’s far away from everything and everyone isn’t anyone’s idea of a great place to spend nine or more hours a day, five days a week. On the other hand, taking your pick of modern, natural-light-filled, amenity-rich, centrally located spots — depending on where your work needs you to be on any given day, week, or month — sounds downright enticing.

Metro Offices’ nine DC and Washington-area locations, all with state-of-the-art comforts and conveniences, could have you waking up before your alarm Monday through Friday. Below, we list the top five advantages of working at any one of our locations.

Transportation

No car? No problem. Metro Offices’ locations are within an easy-access distance of Metro bus and rail lines. (Frequently in DC, with the city’s well-known rarity of parking in many areas, not using a car is better.) Our Dupont Circle location is just a block from the neighborhood’s famed Golden Triangle and less than a quarter of a mile from the Dupont Circle Metro station. The building in which our Metro Center office resides, One Metro Center, connects directly to the Metro Center station, and our Tysons Corner location also connects directly to Metro, to the Silver Line’s Greensboro station. So this unseasonably snowy winter weather be darned; once you’re underground at your embarkation point, you won’t have to worry about getting wet or frosty (until you get to your home station, anyway).

Dining and Entertainment

“Outsiders may think of D.C. as a city of stodgy politicos, but its food scene proves there’s so much more.” So say the writers at Eater, and they ought to know. Metro Offices locations are in the heart of some of the best eating that DC (and Maryland and Northern Virginia) have to offer. Our Metro Center offices, for example, are just a 13-minute walk to the award-winning Oyamel Cocina Mexicana. If you don’t have 13 minutes but still want excellent food with a sophisticated flair, just step outside the building offices Monday through Friday and chances are you’ll be greeted by a plethora of top-notch food trucks, not to mention myriad other cafes, coffee shops, and restaurants.

Then there’s our Chevy Chase spot, at the center of Friendship Heights, with its numerous, top-rated restaurants, bars, and shops. This location even boasts access to an underground walkway to the Mazza Gallerie complex, which includes AMC Theatre and TJ Maxx. Our Arlington spot has an onsite eatery, the Ballston Cafe, and is less than a 10-minute walk from Uncle Julio’s, Starbucks, Grand Cru Wine Bar and Bistro, First Down Sports Bar and Grill, and much more.

IT Support

IT support is one of those things you don’t tend to think about until you need it, but it isn’t something to take for granted. That expensive, three-year office lease you’re still hesitant about pulling the trigger on? It doesn’t come with crack IT expertise, day or night. Fortunately, becoming a Metro Offices customer does. Our award-winning IT team members can provide you with on-call computer and network support at any of our offices.

Onsite Fitness Centers

Avoid the still-earnest New Year’s resolution exercisers — and the additional travel time — at that chain gym and instead work out at any of the fully equipped, up-to-date, professionally maintained fitness centers in the buildings at our locations. No matter what you’re into fitness-wise — running, biking, yoga, weightlifting, the elliptical trainer, even shadowboxing — our locations’ gyms have the equipment and/or the space to let you do it. There’s no room for excuses if your gym is mere floors below your work station. You can make use of any of the fitness centers’ gleaming, modern locker rooms to change before your workout and to shower afterward; just make sure to pack your professional clothes and toiletries, and you’re good to go.

Flexibility

Whether it’s a conference room or a huddle space, a desk membership or a private-office membership, or a DC office or a Northern Virginia one, flexibility is Metro Offices’ middle name. We give you the freedom to choose how much and what kind of office support you need. Maybe it’s just a dedicated desk with business address and mail service — for now. Or maybe you need a completely customizable, lockable office that’s all your own, every day. We’ll work with you to find the membership that best fits your needs. And when (and if) those needs change, your membership can change right along with them.

What about our other spaces? For those times you’ve got clients coming in, all our spots have sleek, tech-equipped conference rooms of varying sizes — so you’re covered for presentations and calls. For those days you and a few other team members need to brainstorm and you’re all sick of Starbucks, take your pick between small huddle rooms with armchairs and coffee tables, rooftop patio settings and bar-top seating in spacious kitchens. Perhaps you just need a change of scene for solo work. No matter what your office-space needs, one of Metro Offices’ locations has what you need.
