Metro Offices Employee Spotlight: Jenny McLaughlin

Jenny McLaughlin, Front Desk Coordinator at our Metro Center, puts her greatest strength – multitasking – to good use in her position. “I enjoy working hard and putting all my effort into multiple tasks all at once,” she says. Jenny’s responsibilities include answering phones for more than 100 clients, typing Word documents and creating Excel spreadsheets, and working closely with clients to provide them with anything they may need on a day-to-day basis. She has been employed at Metro Offices for almost two years.

Jenny feels Metro Offices stands out from other office space in Washington, DC, for several reasons. At the top of that list are its friendly, talented staff members. “I have had many people tell me how refreshing it is to have amazing staff members working for them compared to other DC shared office space they have tried before,” says Jenny. “Another reason I believe that Metro Offices stands above the rest is our beautiful centers. All Metro Offices centers are modern and up-to-date, with everything a rising business may need.”

Jenny’s favorite part of her job is working with wonderful people. “Not only do I have awesome co-workers on my side, but we also have amazing clients that I get to work with. From my co-workers and our clients, I learn something new every day.”

The Reston native attended Radford University and is very proud to be the first person in her family to graduate from a college or university. In her spare time, Jenny loves to spend time outdoors, exploring new places. She also enjoys anything history-related, and cheering on the Redskins, the Capitals and the Washington Nationals. “My favorite attraction near my center is the Verizon Center,” she says. “I love watching the Washington Capitals play. Let’s go Caps!”

Jenny’s favorite place to dine out is P. F. Chang’s. A close second is a restaurant near the Metro Center called La Tasca. Her favorite TV shows include Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! She is currently single but “dating an amazing guy.”

In the future, Jenny hopes to be a high school history teacher and softball coach.
