5 Tips to Prevent Eyestrain When Working in the Office

4. Replace your old computer monitor. Compared with the old bulky CRT computer monitors, LCD screens are better for your eyes, as most of them come with an antireflective surface. Unlike CRT monitors, LCD screens won’t cause images to “flicker,” a common cause of eyestrain.

5. Assess your lighting. Aside from being in front of the computer the whole day, harsh lighting may also result in fatigue and eyestrain. Reduce light coming through your windows using shades, curtains, or blinds. For interior lighting, use lower intensity tubes and bulbs and fewer light fixtures
