What inspired you to start a business?

Running a business of my own was not a lifelong dream. Rather, like a lot of women, I was at a turning point in my career and became fed up with having others dictate my time and responsibilities, and judge me for my choices. The business has evolved quite a bit since I founded it in 2018 (there was a very expensive online course exploration in 2020-2021…), but the core has remained the same: We are trusted advisors to mission-drive leaders, helping them gain up to 24 more days of productivity a year, per employee!

What is one thing you are passionate about right now?

Energy efficiency! I’m a nerd in my personal and professional time. AI is eating up huge amounts of energy and the earth is warmer than it’s ever been. We each have a responsibility to only use the energy we truly need – whether it’s only commuting 2-3 days a week to save on commuting fuel, remembering to turn off the outdoor lights at home before we go to bed, or investing in the expense of better insulation in a home attic!

Proud to be a certified woman-owned business – times two! CM&F is a WBE and also a SWaM (Virginia’s state designation). More fun: If you hit a 404 error at our website, you get to see a pic of my dog, Lucy. 🙂
